Description
The commemorative silver coin “Elk, Plaque” is the ninth coin from the series of coins, in which there are used the images of gold items discovered in the course of archeological excavations in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The coin is made using the technology of the rolled-gold plating.

Obverse
The coin “Elk. Plaque” has a dodecahedron form. In the right sector of the face (obverse) of the coin there are: a legend “500 TENGE” arranged in two lines, which denotes the nominal value of the coin a trademark of Kazakhstan Mint. And a legend “Ag 925 31.1 g”, which denotes the metal a coin is made of, its fineness and weight. In the left sector there is an image of four galloping rides. A wide satin-finished edge runs along the perimeter of the coin, on the full-circle of which there us a depressed legend “ҚАЗАҚСТАН RESPUBLIKASY” (Republic of Kazakhstan) in the state language and REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN in the English language. The legends are separated by dots.
Reverse
On the back side (reverse) of the coin, in the center thereof, there is a gold-filled image of a plaque on a dagger sheath, which is made in the form of a lying elk. In the upper part there is a heraldic image of a spiral. On the full-circle there is a legend “БҰЛАН. БАСТЫРМА” (BULAN BASTYRMA) in the state language, and “ELK.PLAQUE” in the English language. A wide satin-finished edge runs along the perimeter of the coin, on the full-circle of which there are: a depressed legend “КӨШПЕНДІЛЕР АЛТЫНЫ” (KOSHPENDILER ALTYNY) in the state language, the number “2012” denoting the year of mintage and the legend “THE GOLD OF NOMADS” in the English language. The legend and number are separated by dots.
